Hello this lady was my ant prissy i miss her dearly she was like a mother her youngest is now 6 bout to be 7 jun 26 and when im around her she is always telling me about her times wid her mother but she was only months old when her mother passed. but see i know how that lil girl feels i was 2 when i was taken from my mother onwn situations but my mother has come to pass and so has my father. but ant prissy left this earth when i was 7 im 14 now and i still feel like i can see her smileing at me when i close my eyes telling me every things okay because of her i got the love of a mother a friend a sister but most of all it was just grate nowing she was there when i need her. Ps: Prissy was carol's nickname .

Here is a correction: DJ IS still living in that home - married with 2 more boys. The girl he married is the one he was having the affair with when Michelle disappeared.

Yes, they have a pool but it wasn't added until a few years later. DJ & Michelle only lived in the house for 2 weeks before she was murdered. Yes, I do believe she was murdered.

Her disappearance has caused many family members and friends a lot of pain. Whoever did it needs to be punished.

This is a heart wrenching story... and written with the compassion and caring needed to solve this case! Even at 24, a young man still needs his mother. If she were alive and well, he could, instead be focusing on his career or social relationships. But alas... he needs to carry the torch. Kudos to the local media for a beginning to revive it!

My heart sank when I read the phrase about "Mommy is in the bushes" as it so similar to Susan Cox Powell's son's comment! Let's continue to hope that justice delayed IS NOT justice ultimately denied in this case.

Glad to read your thoughts on the "other side of the coin" re missing adults. On my new radio show, "Shattered Lives," we learned that there are approximately 160,000 adults and children combined who are currently missing. We don't know how many just walk away of their own volition and then "re-invent a new life."
I think such behavior creates a big credibility issue for those who go missing under crime related circumstances. My empathy and support go to them.... not to those who "couldn't hack it" for whatever reason.

Yes they might have come from you (the parents) but somewhere along the way she went south and abandoned the morals she was taught as a child...

The mystery to me is did she steal the money so she had a bankroll to escape from her parents who seem like they could be one of those well meaning but clueless strict religious homes? Maybe her having a kid out of wedlock was her way of sticking it to her parents? And then running away was her final revenge? She must be messed up psychologically.

Or did she embezzle the money and then the fear of getting caught made her worry what her parents would think and she just wanted to disappear from their world? Either way she seems to have some psych issues.

Watching this episode for the third time...and I an more disgusted now then the first time I seen it...I have a 4 year old son and I could never imagine leaving him behind for any reason...the irony behind this story is that she had no care for nothing else but her own selfishness...and now for her actions that poor baby has to grow up a statistic (motherless, fatherless, and left alone to figure out why? alone) because I'm sure his grandparents have not grasped on to who there daughter really is...this is sad and I'm glad they caught her...too bad she don't give a damn about the people she hurt along her thieving little ways, thats obvious! Just saw the episode of "Disappeared" and it seems to me that Michelle was thriving well, considering her size. I think her parents need to come to grips with the fact that their daughter is not who they think she is. The poor son is the victim. Abandoned by father and mother. A simple crime has spiraled into a tornado of mess. What's the latest? Is faking your disappearance a crime? Will she have to pay restitution?

People said Ted Bundy was a nice guy too and we all know how that turned out. Tom was not a nice man. It pains me greatly to say that because his mom was my grandma. She was the sweetest, saintliest, kindhearted woman on the planet. I cannot see how someone so wonderful could turn out such a monster. It is inconcievable.
